Originally from Arlington, Va., Chris Mackler is a photojournalist currently based in Southeast Missouri. He graduated from Ohio University in November 2008 majoring in photojournalism and earning a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication. Chris has lived over a third of his life overseas, giving his body of work a fresh global perspective.

Chris’ work has been featured in Missouri Life Magazine, Out Here Magazine, the Southeast Missourian (Cape Girardeau, Mo.), The Gazette (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), Edge Business Magazine (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), The Elkhart Truth (Elkhart, Ind.), The Post (Athens, Ohio) and The Associated Press.

Chris has recently moved to the Cape Girardeau, Mo. / Southeast Missouri area. When not making images, he can be found giggling about llamas (you must admit, they’re pretty adorable animals). He is available for freelance work everywhere.
